It appears that Toshiba had begun to roll out the OTA Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update to the Excite 7.7 tablet earlier today. The massive 348 mb update was reported to bring the new Hybrid User Interface to the tablet for an enhanced user experience while using the device.
For those who have yet to receive the OTA update notification, you can go to Settings > About phone > System software updates to manually check for the update just in case you’re being missed out.
